The D700 is Here!

I am now in possesion of my D700 (got it at the begining of this month) and have fun trying it out. The low light performance on this thing is nothing short of amazing and I can't wait to see the results from the first wedding I have for the season

My Scotland visit - Oct 2009

I recently spent a week in Scotland (got back about 20 minutes ago lol) I didn't do too much "photography" stuff, I actually had a break from it in comparison to how I am normally. But I did do a little bit, here's one of the shots I took, the sun was beating down through the autumn trees and looked like a really nice, so I took the shot.... then gave a  little enhancement to what mother nature created.

Like I said, here's one shot, there are others and I'll upload them in do course... Going to unpack now...

:o)

Monochrome!

I was perusing through my work over the past couple of days and revisited some shots. At the time I didn't know what to do with at them, from a "post production" point of view. I discovered that when I did get round to edit them, I usually converted them to black and white.

I don't know why I love black and white images so much, I think it's the elegance, drama and depth a monochrome image brings. I do spend a lot of time on my conversions, but the results can be amazing! I think that's why they're my favourite type of image to produce.

Spot Colour!

One of the shots from Lynsey and Sam's wedding, patients is needed to get the colour back in a monochrome converstion. But the results are worth it.

The wedding took place at St Helens Church in Etwal, Derbyshire.

Latest Wedding!

Lynsey (pictured) and Sam, the latest people I've taken shots for, wedding wise. The church was St Helen's in Etwall Derbyshire, then to Horsley Lodge for the reception.

Excellent day for photos, not too sunny and not so hot that it made them bake lol.

The pics aren't up yet (at the time of writing this) but will be in the next day or so.
